https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201683 -  reported when I was running 
4.2.98.  So far I haven't seen it in 4.3.

The developer asks if I'm running debug or release build, and wonders if it is 
related to https://bugs.kde.org/203289 since both issues imply that the same 
bit of code is implicated.  Apparently if there is a relationship there is a 
different behaviour in debug mode and release mode.

That probably doesn't make it any clearer, but Parkotron is currently on #kde-
devel, if you want to talk direct.
