It works now with the following akonadi packages:

Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0)
KAddressBook: 4.1

akonadi-kde/intrepid 4:4.2.0-0ubuntu1~intrepid3
akonadi-server/intrepid 1.1.1-0ubuntu2~intrepid2
