agreed. but this is primarily due to 'newbie ignorance', or just plain lacking.
if you do not see your post, something is wrong.

plus, why post with a bogus address? those who do are usually ones who do not
know how or understand how to set up anti spam filters and are usually msbsos
users. mozilla 'support-firefox' and 'support-thunderbird' are prime examples
of this. most of them also have no concern for subscribers using dial up
connections as they seldom trim dead history.

if one subscribes to a tech support list and then sees no activity, something
has to be wrong. if they do not have enough awareness to realize that something
is very wrong. then they really have a problem for which they need more help
than a 'tsl' can not provide.

this would be more of a problem of lacking in mental awareness. as in 'why
did they join in first place?'.

surely they should have some clue of tsl, or else why did they join. if there
is no activity, there is little need for tsl. so lack of activity should tell
them that they have a problem in receiving post.

if they post, see their post and receive no reply, it could mean that post
was so far out that their is no way to reply and they should repost with a
new description or at least post and ask why no reply.

and thoughts show you are at least thinking. :)
