I just uninstalled it, removed the old, deprecated /etc/sysconfig/desktop and 
solved the KDE login problem yesterday (~/.dmrc). I'm sticking with KDM.

I guess I'll have to remember my router passphrase for a while and change it 
often, or do what Gilboa suggested, about manually killing gnome-
keyringmanager (and nm-applet) and then restarting nm-applet. It is tedious, 
but it works.
