Thanks, Rex.  I keep fooling myself that this laptop and the netbook are 
running the same versions, but somewhere along the line they have got out of 
sync.  soprano installed on the netbook, so I'll have to find time to see if I 
can now get everything working there.  On this laptop, I'll wait for you to 
give the word.
