The only way is attaching the vCard file to the message (both 
KMail and Thunderbird can show it inline and ask the user if s/he wants to 
save the sender information). This isn't very nice/clever...

export your information from KAddressBook:

* select the contact you want to export (== yourself)
* open the dialog from File - Export - Export vCard 3.0... and follow the 
steps
