Not an audio cd at boot, and a very young disk for which smart sees no problem

I didn't get those errors before the current kernel but I have never succeeded
in getting KDE to run with desktop effects enabled. I suspect that this is
simply reporting something that was always wrong but not notified previously.

I've had no problems with the cd/dvd. I did do some k3b ripping with it,
again, no errors reported and everything verified. Very strange

I found https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=542021 but that is about
the cd/dvd drive not seeing disks - a problem I don't see. Still, it is
almost certainly related. I will experiment - see whether it only happens
when I use k3b, or whether "noapic" fixes it.

Again, the surprising thing is that I had no print failures.

It always bugs me when new errors start to appear :-)
