the problem is that konqueror/kde are generally slow with remote filesystems
because the counting of items, try generating previews and so on takes
way too much time over network but it does upstream nobody interest that
this is painfully and there should be a differnt handling for remote-filsystems

yes, this would be a hack because it would make a difference between
remote/local, but this is needed as long not all machines have 100 Mbit up
