Something wrong with the KDE wireless interface?

Don't count on it! By coincidence, I had this precise problem yesterday when I 
was configuring a friend's wireless for a first time ;)

I switched to KWallet, configured it so that it would not ask for a password 
and on the next connection attempt it worked!
