K3b doesn't recognise CD -R disks

I have DVD on the brain....

OK...just put in a CD-R and Device Notifier detects it....and K3b does 
as well....

Since Device Notifier doesn't recognize the disk, the problem you are 
seeing is not a K3b issue....
