Thanks for all the info. A local shop sells only:

Logitech Trackman Marble Trackball (wired), ambidexterous, but no wheel $40
Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse (wireless), for right hand, I guess, with 
wheel $65

I am right-handed, but have used the mouse in my left hand for almost 10 years to 
keep my right free for a pen/pencil.

I could see what some other shops have.

Yeah. I just plugged in the ps/2 mouse with the usb adaptor and there are no 
problems. I really didn't believe that the other mouse was wearing out, but this is 
the proof.
