Thanks very much, I'll try that.
I might add that I also failed to add RSS feeds to chrome,
after following advice to install a plugin.

What would be a winner for me would be if chromecast ran in konqueror,
as I am in a foreign country (Italy) far from home (Dublin).
But I suspect google has put an impossible hurdle in its software.
