Chris ,
There is a program called "script" that was most likely installed in your system by default. It copies everything sent to your screen to a file. The file can then be sent to others to help debug your problem(s). As an example:
grunzasr at stm32dbg% script output_file.txt
Script started, file is output_file.txt
grunzasr at stm32dbg% yum install some_package
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
You need to be root to perform this command.
grunzasr at stm32dbg% exit
Script done, file is output_file.txt
grunzasr at stm32dbg% cat output_file.txt
Script started on Thu 14 Jun 2012 04:47:35 PM EDT
grunzasr at stm32dbg% yum install some_package
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
You need to be root to perform this command.
grunzasr at stm32dbg% exit
Script done on Thu 14 Jun 2012 04:48:00 PM EDT
Just a suggestion…
