Actually, I took a look at aide myself, and it turns out that the file
with the problematic license is the same code, snprintf.c, we
encountered in another package. I believe the developers of this code
intended for it to be dual-licensed under GPLv2 (the earlier license
of the code) and the Frontier Artistic License. See:

So that may solve the problem here.
