Attaching patches is far preferred to just posting a link to them --
it's a lot easier to review them inline without having to go and fetch
them from somewhere.

Also, inline as opposed to attached is also nice if your mailer doesn't
mangle attachments.  git-send-email is an incredibly useful tool for
this.  But, I'm not anti-attachment as my mailer can handle them fine
(unlike Linus :-)
