My original idea was to create a local tftpboot directory, and populate it with
the stuff that we knew we needed for ourselves; then people are free to
integrate it however they want into their existing infrastructure, or just to
use it verbatim.  I'm afraid with your suggestion that there are going to be too
many caveats for too many different infrastructure setups, and you'll just end
up with a maze of options.
