Fedora events system

Hiemanshu Sharma is planning to work on a Fedora events system as a
participant in GSoC 2011. When Juan (nushio) Rodriguez posted about
this, I pointed out[1] this might be really useful to implement on
Drupal, where the entire free software community -- heck, *thousands*
of users/sites beyond FOSS even -- could take advantage of it.

One of the resources that Peter Borsa pointed out was the "Conference
Organizing Distribution" for Drupal.[2] It looks like they have a lot
of functionality implemented here already, but AIUI/IIRC Hiemanshu has
a good deal of experience with Drupal, and this might be a great place
for him to participate upstream, but yet have Fedora directly benefit
from or showcase the work.

I've invited Juan and Hiemanshu to this list so we can talk about how
we might slot this with Phase 2 work. (I recently blogged about Phase
2 as well.)[3] Our next meeting is Tuesday May 17 at 2000 UTC (4:00pm
US EDT):

If that ends up being a bad time for you guys (Hiemanshu especially),
feel free to just reply here on the list so we can discuss. I'm
really happy to see someone working on this and we would love to have
you work with our team!

Some initial thoughts for what we'd want to do to support Hiemanshu:

* Ensure we have all prerequisites for his work packaged

* Get our Features development plan completed and figure out how to
use it to collaborate with each other

* Figure out any dependencies for Hiemanshu and how to schedule them
properly for our Phase 2 work
