Hi,

The regular 'ranlib' command only works on Linux libraries. For Win32
you need to use 'i686-pc-mingw32-ranlib'. However, this is something
that should be done automatically during the build process..

I've also seen this behaviour when building SRPMS on CentOS 5, but not
on Fedora Rawhide..haven't really found the cause of it yet.
