The include paths which are used in that gcc command are too limited. It's
recommended to use pkg-config to find out all include paths. A mingw-friendly
version of pkg-config is available in the package mingw32-pkg-config. After
this package is installed you can execute the following command to find out all
the include paths which are needed by gtk:

$ i686-pc-mingw32-pkg-config --cflags gtk+-2.0
-mms-bitfields -I/usr/i686-pc-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/include/gtk-2.0
