Close this list down? (Was: Re: Hello)

Hi,

Should this mailing list be closed down, and made read-only now that it
doesn't have any purpose? The mailing list page could be modified to
direct folks to the marketing team mailing list. 

One less mailing list to look at, one less mailing list to confuse new
contributors?
