Update Information:
This update fixes various bugs with non-displayable locales
on the console, and fixes an issue with using tmpfs for
temporary files and state.
[2006-11-01] 8.45.5-1 fixes GDM in certain locales, and
fixes a bug where rename_device would not properly ignore
backup files.

but we needed to do this to add a reasonable interface-specific
PAP editor to netcfg.
