Fedora Update Notification

Product : Fedora Core 5
Name : iscsi-initiator-utils
Version :
Release : 0.0.fc5
Summary : iSCSI daemon and utility programs
Description :
The iscsi package provides the server daemon for the iSCSI protocol,
as well as the utility programs used to manage it. iSCSI is a protocol
for distributed disk access using SCSI commands sent over Internet
Protocol networks.

Update Information:

Rebase iscsi-initiator-utils to upstream open-iscsi-2.0-747.
This update adds better dm-multipath integration by fixing
several bugs in actor.c (iscsi daemon scheduler) that causes
timeouts to be missed and requests to be dropped or delayed
for a very long time. This also fixes a regression from
2.0-742 where when documenting the noop timeout iscsid.conf
setting, a invalid value was used.

If upgrading from a 5.1 or lower release see the README and
man pages for details on the changes. Major changes include:

- The config files have moved from /etc to /etc/iscsi.
- The db4 database is no longer used. Instead, the node info
is stored in text files in /var/lib/iscsi and when new node
info variables are added you no longer have to rebuild the
the node db.
- iscsiadm has a new format. See the README for details.
