Name : octave
Product : Fedora 11
Version : 3.2.3
Release : 1.fc11
URL : http://www.octave.org
Summary : A high-level language for numerical computations
Description :
GNU Octave is a high-level language, primarily intended for numerical
computations. It provides a convenient command line interface for
solving linear and nonlinear problems numerically, and for performing
other numerical experiments using a language that is mostly compatible
with Matlab. It may also be used as a batch-oriented language. Octave
has extensive tools for solving common numerical linear algebra
problems, finding the roots of nonlinear equations, integrating
ordinary functions, manipulating polynomials, and integrating ordinary
differential and differential-algebraic equations. It is easily
extensible and customizable via user-defined functions written in
Octave's own language, or using dynamically loaded modules written in
C++, C, Fortran, or other languages.

Update Information:

Update to latest upstream Octave (3.2.3) and corresponding octave-forge. This
is a major upgrade, so please save your output data before running any new
octave scripts. Other packages have been rebuilt to match new API (v37).
This may also fix some other outstanding bugs in the old 3.0.x Octave release,
so please upgrade and provide feedback here, or on the attached bugs if it fixes
problems you had with the 3.0.x release.
