Certmonger is a service which is primarily concerned with getting your
system enrolled with a certificate authority (CA) and keeping it enrolled.

Update Information:

certmonger is a service which is primarily concerned with getting your system
enrolled with a certificate authority (CA) and keeping it enrolled.  To that
end, it will monitor certificates that it has been configured to monitor and
warn of impending expiration, and optionally attempt to obtain a new certificate
from the CA without requiring manual intervention.
