Name : git
Product : Fedora 12
Version :
Release : 1.fc12
URL : http://git-scm.com/
Summary : Fast Version Control System
Description :
Git is a fast, scalable, distributed revision control system with an
unusually rich command set that provides both high-level operations
and full access to internals.

The git rpm installs the core tools with minimal dependencies. To
install all git packages, including tools for integrating with other
SCMs, install the git-all meta-package.

Update Information:

Update to maintenance release. Git 1.7.1 fixes a number of bugs and
various improvements all around. For the full list, see the upstream release
notes: http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.7.1.txt
The release notes for 1.7.0 are also worth a read when updating from 1.6.6, as
there are a few changes in default behaviors and a number of new features that
are helpful to know about.
http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/RelNotes-1.7.0.txt This
update also brings the git packaging into line with the guidelines for emacs
add-ons. If you use emacs together with git, testing the emacs-git and emacs-
git-el packages would be much appreciated. Thanks to Jonathan Underwood.
