Name : elfutils
Product : Fedora 12
Version : 0.147
Release : 1.fc12
URL : https://fedorahosted.org/elfutils/
Summary : A collection of utilities and DSOs to handle compiled objects
Description :
Elfutils is a collection of utilities, including ld (a linker),
nm (for listing symbols from object files), size (for listing the
section sizes of an object or archive file), strip (for discarding
symbols), readelf (to see the raw ELF file structures), and elflint
(to check for well-formed ELF files).

Update Information:

This update fixes several bugs in elfutils libraries and tools, including one
that could cause tools to crash when processing core files and another that
could cause tools to crash when examining DWARF CFI. The handling of CFI now
copes as best as possible with invalid CFI cases that GCC could emit in ix86
code before a recent GCC fix. The libdwfl support for kernel module objects now
copes with certain spurious relocation records left by ld -r before a recent
binutils fix. This update also adds the new function dwfl_core_file_report to
the libdwfl (-ldw) library, to let applications using this library handle core
files like utilities' --core command-line option does. This update also adds
some translations for elfutils messages, supplied by the Fedora Translation
Project.
