Fedora Update Notification

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name : etckeeper
Product : Fedora 12
Version : 0.49
Release : 1.fc12
URL : http://kitenet.net/~joey/code/etckeeper/
Summary : Store /etc in a SCM system (git, mercurial, bzr or darcs)
Description :
The etckeeper program is a tool to let /etc be stored in a git,
mercurial, bzr or darcs repository. It hooks into yum to automatically
commit changes made to /etc during package upgrades. It tracks file
metadata that version control systems do not normally support, but that
is important for /etc, such as the permissions of /etc/shadow. It's
quite modular and configurable, while also being simple to use if you
understand the basics of working with version control.

The default backend is git, if want to use a another backend please
install the appropriate tool (mercurial, darcs or bzr).
To use bzr as backend, please also install the etckeeper-bzr package.

To start using the package please read /usr/share/doc/etckeeper-0.49/README

Update Information:

Update to version 0.49, with these bugfixes:

 * Ensure that PATH contains the directory containing etckeeper, so that hook scripts that re-exec etckeeper are guaranteed to find it.
 * Ignore -m switch to etckeeper commit, in case someone tries to use it with that option common to several VCS.
 * Remove HOME setting in etckeeper. sudo now defaults to setting HOME itself as of version 1.7.4p4, so it is not necessary for etckeeper to work around its behavior anymore. (sudo also allows disabling that for those who enjoy using guns around feet.)
 * Fix file quoting problem in processing .etckeeper file in init.

Update to version 0.48, which has a lot of bugfixes and enhancements.
