gnome-session manages a GNOME desktop or GDM login session. It starts up
the other core GNOME components and handles logout and saving the session.

Update Information:

This update increases the timeout before gnome-session considers a session component faulty from 10 seconds to 30 seconds. 10 seconds turned out to be too small, in particular when doing autologin on live media.

This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.  Use 
su -c 'yum update gnome-session' at the command line.
