Name : glibc
Product : Fedora 16
Version : 2.14.90
Release : 14
URL : http://www.gnu.org/software/glibc/
Summary : The GNU libc libraries
Description :
The glibc package contains standard libraries which are used by
multiple programs on the system. In order to save disk space and
memory, as well as to make upgrading easier, common system code is
kept in one place and shared between programs. This particular package
contains the most important sets of shared libraries: the standard C
library and the standard math library. Without these two libraries, a
Linux system will not function.

Update Information:

This update reverts the changes to glibc which caused bug #747377, which can potentially result in crashes in most applications compiled against the affected glibc. A reproduction scenario for the bug is available in comment #10: to confirm the fix, rebuild git against this glibc build, and ensure it does not crash with that test. I have already tested this myself and confirmed it is true. This update does not change anything beyond this specific fix.
