The GRand Unified Bootloader (GRUB) is a highly configurable and customizable
bootloader with modular architecture.  It support rich varietyof kernel formats,

Update Information:

To test:

grub-install /dev/sda
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
reboot

That should behave exactly the same as it used to.  If you then update fedora-logos and add the following line to /etc/default/grub , and then repeat the process, you should get some pretty graphics during the reboot:

GRUB_THEME="/boot/grub2/themes/system/theme.txt"

This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.  Use 
su -c 'yum update grub2' at the command line.
