Description :
XEmacs is a highly customizable open source text editor and
application development system.  It is protected under the GNU General
Public License and related to other versions of Emacs, in particular
GNU Emacs.  Its emphasis is on modern graphical user interface support
and an open software development model, similar to Linux.

The XEmacs packages collection contains a large collection of useful
lisp packages for XEmacs including mail readers, programming modes and
utilities, and packages related to using XEmacs in multi-lingual
environments.

Update Information:

This update contains a fix for a critical bug in CC Mode's electric key behaviors.  In addition, it contains minor updates and bug fixes for other packages, as follows:
- which-func.el, which prints the function at point in the modeline, has been added to edit-utils
- ido.el, which interactively operates on files and buffers, has been added to edit-utils
- arc-mode.el in os-utils now provides arc-mode in addition to archive-mode for Emacs compatibility
- A bug in imenu-syntax-alist in the scheme package has been fixed
- TRAMP has been updated to version 2.2.7
- file-utils.el has been added to xemacs-base
- rx.el has been added to xemacs-base
- subr-more.el has been added to xemacs-base
- imenu.el, in xemacs-base, now allows REGEXP to be a search function

This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.  Use 
su -c 'yum update xemacs-packages-extra' at the command line.
