Upstream notes on this update:
- First try at getting Make-like expressions to work inside scripts.  (Note: functions are not supported yet.)
- Reimplement the parser as lazy generators, so as to reduce the amount of copying.
- Optimize calls to register_transparent_rule by avoiding uselessly copying targets.
- Add support for automatic variables $@ and $<.
- Remove target names from command line. Factor code a bit.
- Add support for option -f.
- Add support for variable $^.
- Make local_variables specific to the parser.
- Add support for $*.
