Description :
amavisd-new is a high-performance and reliable interface between mailer
(MTA) and one or more content checkers: virus scanners, and/or
Mail::SpamAssassin Perl module. It is written in Perl, assuring high
reliability, portability and maintainability. It talks to MTA via (E)SMTP
or LMTP, or by using helper programs. No timing gaps exist in the design
which could cause a mail loss.

Update Information:

This update patches the amavisd-new init script not to source the file /etc/sysconfig/network any more. The script no longer seems to actually use any information from that file, and it cannot be relied upon to exist in recent Fedora releases. Reported by Cristian Sava to the Fedora test@ mailing list.

This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.  Use 
su -c 'yum update amavisd-new' at the command line.
