Autotest is a framework for fully automated testing. It is designed primarily
to test the Linux kernel, though it is useful for many other functions such as

The autotest package provides the client harness capable of running autotest
jobs on a single system.

Update Information:
This is an update to the autotest-framework, which hasn't been updated for about two major upstream releases, and because of that, carries numerous bug fixes and enhancements.
Autotest is used by a lot of QA folks, and also by specific developers, such as QEMU and libvirt developers via virt-test.
This update will enable users of modern virt-test to rely on the bugfixes and enhancements of the newer Autotest release.
