Description :
Lmod is a Lua based module system that easily handles the MODULEPATH
Hierarchical problem.  Environment Modules provide a convenient way to
dynamically change the users' environment through modulefiles. This includes
easily adding or removing directories to the PATH environment variable.
Modulefiles for library packages provide environment variables that specify
where the library and header files can be found.

Update Information:

Update to 5.7.5.  There are several bug fixes and some better explantation to the user when there is a bad collection that must be rebuilt and some other small things.  The big new feature that is available in 5.7.5 is the ability to group the output of avail into blocks with labels other than the directory name.

This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.  Use
su -c 'yum update Lmod' at the command line.
