Name : python-boto
Product : Fedora 22
Version : 2.38.0
Release : 1.fc22
URL : https://github.com/boto/boto
Summary : A simple, lightweight interface to Amazon Web Services
Description :
Boto is a Python package that provides interfaces to Amazon Web Services.
It supports over thirty services, such as S3 (Simple Storage Service),
SQS (Simple Queue Service), and EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) via their
REST and Query APIs. The goal of boto is to support the full breadth
and depth of Amazon Web Services. In addition, boto provides support
for other public services such as Google Storage in addition to private
cloud systems like Eucalyptus, OpenStack and Open Nebula.

Update Information:

This update adds several oft-requested new features to boto, unbundles the python-six library, and enables unit testing.

One change of note is defaulting to signature version 4 unconditionally. AWS will be more strict about clock synchronization; if you encounter "AWS was not able to validate the provided access credentials" error messages then ensure your system's clock is somehow synchronized with a program such as ntpd(8) or chronyd(8).

Also note that in Fedora 23 the sample executables this package currently installs in /usr/bin will move to /usr/share/doc/python-boto/examples.
