Name : audacity
Product : Fedora 21
Version : 2.1.1
Release : 1.fc21
URL : http://audacity.sourceforge.net
Summary : Multitrack audio editor
Description :
Audacity is a cross-platform multitrack audio editor. It allows you to
record sounds directly or to import files in various formats. It features
a few simple effects, all of the editing features you should need, and
unlimited undo. The GUI was built with wxWidgets and the audio I/O
supports PulseAudio, OSS and ALSA under Linux.

Update Information:

Audacity 2.1.0 release.

The most visible new feature is scrubbing and seeking, including backwards play. Updates to Quick-Play also help with finding a precise position in the audio.

You can now install plug-ins without restarting Audacity, and add or remove any effect or generator from the menus.

Over 50 bugs have been addressed with this release. Edits are now processed much faster in longer projects of a few hours duration.

Effects now have presets. A new Limiter replaces the Hard Limiter effect. There's a new version of Vocal Removal, a cross-fade effect for combining clips on the same track and 'classic filters' available as an opt-in effect.

There's also been lots of work behind the scenes, including VI usability enhancements and upgrade to new libraries.
2.1.1rc3 introduces a fix for a crash when importing certain ogg/image combinations, and a fix for the menu translations for Chinese.

Please provide any testing and feedback karma in the updates system that you can.
Update to the first release candidate for 2.1.1 to provide testing opportunities.
This build contains bug fixes and features leading to the Audacity 2.1.1 Alpha testing release. This build will remain in -testing until the Alpha release is created.

Please test as much as you can with this pre-alpha version, so that if bugs are found they can be filed in bugzilla, and may be able to be resolved before 2.1.1 is shipped.
This is an early preview of Audacity 2.1.1 Alpha. The intent is to check whether this provides fixes for currently reported Fedora bugs. Feel free to re-open bugs, updating the version/ Fedora release if the issue continues.
