AVR Libc is a Free Software project whose goal is to provide a high quality C

like the GPL, yet impose as little restrictions for the use of the library in
closed-source commercial applications as possible.

Update Information:

downgrade avr-gcc to 4.9.3, because 5.1.x+ requires avr-libc 1.8.1+, but there
are no atmel patches for that version
