Name        : freexl
Product     : Fedora 22
Version     : 1.0.2
Release     : 1.fc22
URL         : http://www.gaia-gis.it/FreeXL
Summary : Library to extract data from within an Excel spreadsheet
Description :
FreeXL is a library to extract valid data
from within an Excel spreadsheet (.xls)

Design goals:
    * simple and lightweight
    * stable, robust and efficient
    * easily and universally portable
    * completely ignore any GUI-related oddity

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:

RedHat maintainers recently discovered a potential security breach caused by the previous version of FreeXL.

This issue is not very likely to happen under ordinary conditions, anyway a purposely forged XLS document could effectively cause a multiplication overflow on 32 bit platforms, and this in turn will subsequently cause a dangerous crash due to an incorrectly sized memory allocation.
