Name : mlocate
Product : Fedora 24
Version : 0.26
Release : 14.fc24
URL : https://fedorahosted.org/mlocate/
Summary : An utility for finding files by name
Description :
mlocate is a locate/updatedb implementation. It keeps a database of
all existing files and allows you to lookup files by name.

The 'm' stands for "merging": updatedb reuses the existing database to avoid
rereading most of the file system, which makes updatedb faster and does not
trash the system caches as much as traditional locate implementations.

Update Information:

This update will fix some rough edges around systemd integration. mlocate-
updatedb.timer unit is started after the package installation. Also, systemd
unit wrapping updatedb doesn't declare explicitly Type= option, hence type
simple is assumed and systemd will not wait for completion of the service. This
should fix the issue when udpatedb was triggered by timer on system boot and
updatedb was taking too long and blocking user login.
