I applied changes from #17, #18 and #21.  Build breaks. . .
Checking for C header file libintl.h... yes
KeyError: 'CC':
  File "SConstruct", line 291:

error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.67321 (%build)

Do I need latest SVN for this?  I'm not sure I've got the full gist of what
changes I need to make beyond these.
