MInd that I did not test for this particular application, but usually vmware
incompatibility with recent kernels (actually vmware-config.pl -> compilation of
kernel modules ) is fixed by the any-any patch from
http://platan.vc.cvut.cz/ftp/pub/vmware/. Wouldn't it help here too ?
