You could simply use pkg-config, instead of sourcing a shell rc file:

export QTDIR=%(pkg-config --variable=prefix qt-mt)
export QTLIB=%(pkg-config --variable=libdir qt-mt)
export QTINC=%(pkg-config --variable=includedir qt-mt)

Did you consider also packaging xxdiff-tools?
