Actually, after thinking about it for a while, I'm going to back off on #2. 
Using a depreciated build method in a spec file isn't a blocker, just a Bad
Idea as you're basically guaranteeing yourself more work in the future.  I
suggest oyu change it, but I'm not going to insist on it.

Also, is there a reason the latest version (0.06) isn't being packaged?
