since there are only three directories, would it be better/easier to use
semanage like this in %pre?? (I am partially asking this for my own
edification, I don't claim to know the correct answer)

semanage fcontext -a -t httpd_var_run_t %{_sysconfdir}/%{name}/ > /dev/null
2>&1 || :
semanage fcontext -m -t httpd_var_run_t %{_sysconfdir}/%{name}/ > /dev/null
2>&1 || :

I don't see this addressed in the packaging guidelines anywhere.
