Just a followup.  Songbird is working with this setup:

 -Updated default i686 install from Installation media.
 -Enabled RPMFusion free/non-free
 -groupinstall'd "Sound and Video" to bring in 3rd party codecs
 -installed songbird

If I get a chance today I'll try to compare this against my x86_64 setup where
songbird is crashing.
