I see no change in the permissions/ownership. You must have forgotten to apply
the patch.
The initscript is there, but it cannot possibly work right, because of the
unexpected permissions and because spectrumctl is slightly buggy in the git
snapshot you're using ("spectrumctl list" gives a traceback). I developed the
initscript on the latest git where it worked. It's now merged upstream. I
suggest you avoid the problem by rebasing to the current git. You'll get the
initscript for free and you will get rid of the hasAuthRequest patch as that
issue has been fixed upstream too.
