Some more comments:
- %setup -q should be sufficient in %prep
- add %{_smp_mflags} to the first 'make'
- replace %defattr(-,root,root) with %defattr(-,root,root,-)
- add AUTHORS, ChangeLog, NEWS and TODO as %doc to the base package
