Fedora 16.  I do run KDE, but I already had PyGTK2 installed:

$ rpm -q pygtk2
pygtk2-2.24.0-3.fc15.x86_64

I think pygobject3 is what's missing:

# yum whatprovides "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/gi/"
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit

pygobject3-3.0.1-1.fc16.i686 : Python 2 bindings for GObject Introspection
Repo        : fedora
