I think our generic naming guidelines_ would recommend:
> vala - the base package
> emacs-vala - emacs mode
Fine. This is an addon to emace.
> gupnp-vala - vala bindings for gupnp (universal plug'n'play) library
vala-gupnp. These are an "addon" to vala.
> vtg - "Vala Toys for gEdit" currently under review here:
gedit-vtg. This is an addon to gedit.
If you think the generic guidelines don't apply or don't suggest the
correct thing, feel free to propose an addition.
